What, you might ask, is the Insane Icon Project?

Well, back in 2004, I was inspired into insanity by an equally insane project that catatonic1242 was undertaking. Hers was to make five icons from each episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Series. My idea leaned more towards my own obsession: movies. At the time, I had barely 100 movies on DVD, so I thought that, while insane, this could be a fun, light project.

Presently, I own nearly 200 movies on DVD. Although roughly double the number of movies I had when I'd started, I am still determined to make icons from every single movie I own. That, my friends, is the insane icon project. Some number (there isn't a set number) of icons from every single movie I own. This is the information post on the project, so that you can all see how crazy I am. :)

I am actually alive! Yes, it's a miracle!

Lately, my icon-making tastes have shifted mostly toward RPG PB icons, and I just really wasn't in the mood for making pretty icons. But then I started missing my Insane Icon Project.

So I bring you the long-awaited, promised-long-long-ago Day 14: Star Wars Episode 4! I'll be watching the other two movies in the original trilogy hopefully within the next few days, as well, to make icons from them.

And maybe this'll kick-start me back into non-PB icons, hm?

Without further ado, the icons! 55 in total, including blanks.

Finally, another movie done for the Insane Icon Project! Sorry it's taken so long, lol. And yes, this isn't Star Wars as promised, but rather The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

A warning for those of you on dial-up: there are 113 icons behind the cut, including blanks and textless. On the positive side, there's no animated ones this time. :)

This shall also be known as the Many Faces of William Moseley.

Yes! Finally! I am finished with the Benny & Joon icons for the Insane Icon Project. This shall also be known as: The Many Faces of Johnny Depp.

To those of you who don't read my regular journal, I have made some changes to the Insane Icon Project. I will no longer be doing all the movies in order. Rather, I will be giving those who read my regular journal an option to choose the next movie(s) via a small poll.

Coming up next: The (original) Star Wars trilogy.

As a warning to those with dial-up: there's 67 icons behind the cut. Though, if it makes you feel any better, I had originally taken almost 100 caps of the movie when I watched it, so compared to that, this is nothing. ;)

Yes, I have finally gotten back to work on the Insane Icon Project! Yay!

Here are the icons from the second installment of one of the best trilogies ever: the Back to the Future trilogy.

Yes, it has taken me forever, but I finally have the icons for Back to the Future, part 1. Tomorrow or Thursday I'll watch and cap part 2, and hopefully it won't take me as long to make those icons. (Part of what took me so long was my POS laptop, and then when I finally resigned to using the desktop computer, I had to copy over all my fonts and brushes, and then I ended up having to reinstall PSP and re-download all my brushes. Not fun.)

Okay. So. I have 25 icons here for you, plus blanks. I think that's a new record for the Insane Icon Project (or even for any fandom posting at one time).

Once again, coming up next is Back to the Future Part II. Requests accepted (though please post them here) pretty much up until I post the icons.

Yay for England, where what we call soccer is called football, which makes more sense than our football, considering how much more often the foot comes in contact with the ball in their "football" than in our "football".

Anyway! Icons! Including four -- yes, four -- minimovies. And I reminded myself today while I was making all these icons exactly why I make minimovies so infrequently.

Ehem. Anyway. Because my Back to the Future trilogy arrived in the mail today (yesterday, actually, as it is already after midnight), the next movie up is Back to the Future (part 1, I'll be doing each movie of the trilogy separately). Requests welcome, but leave them here, instead of in this post, please. Requests are welcome (for that or any other movie) pretty much up until I actually post the icons for that movie.

You know, I think I am quite possibly the only person in America who actually enjoyed this movie. It seems that the general American opinion is that it sucked, but I think it was good (which is why I have the DVD, duh). Plus, I'd love to have a bear like Teddy. xD that'd rock.

Anyway. Icons! A whopping 19 of them, plus blanks.

For those of you who don't read my regular journal, here's a rundown of the insane icon project:

Due to being inspired by catatonic1242's "Icon Project of Doom", which consists of 5 icons from each episode of BtVS and AtS, I have decided to embark upon a project of my own: icons from all of my DVD movies (all 67 of them). There will be no set number of icons per movie or any set schedule of when I will have the icons done. For reasons, see my journal.
